Rosa Clará founded her brand of wedding dresses in 1995, opening of her first store in Barcelona. After a long-standing career in the wedding fashion sector, the fashion designer and businesswoman decided to incorporate the latest trends into wedding dresses and offer innovative designs made with the highest-quality fabrics for women who did not identify with the products on the market until then.
With her vision as a woman and entrepreneur, she revolutionised the wedding fashion sector by connecting with a new generation of brides who were looking for more fashion and individuality in their dress for the big day. This innovative spirit and her resolute commitment to the highest-quality fabrics and production in each wedding dress that bears her signature remain the core distinguishing traits of Rosa Clará today, which is now a world leader with upwards of 4,000 points of sale in 80 countries.
After conquering Spain, the brand's international expansion began through the multi-brand channel. The definitive leap came from collaborations with prestigious haute-couture creators, such as Christian Lacroix, Karl Lagerfeld and Zuhair Murad, with whom it signed exclusivity agreements to produce and distribute their wedding collections worldwide.
Rosa Clará, with its own collection, went on to launch each edition of the Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week catwalk, the most important international wedding fashion show, surprising attendees with dresses packed with creativity and wonder, and introducing new trends designed to make the dreams of every bride come true. The highly-awaited yearly showcasing contributed – and continues to contribute – to consolidating the firm as a benchmark in the sector, both for the professional audience and for women all over the world.
With the same goal as when it was founded, making women happy with a bespoke design, in 2007 the Rosa Clará Group launched a comprehensive service for both brides and their guests with the creation of the Rosa Clará Cocktail collection. And, with women always in mind, as well as being with them on the most special occasions, the group also introduced accessories collections designed to achieve a flawless total Rosa Clará look.
